Even if you don’t want to do Obedience – too structured; or Agility – too unstructured; or Rally – too much reading – there’s still a dog sport for you and your dog! There are multiple Trick Dog titles offered by the American Kennel Club. And now you can even get these titles by submitting videos to an approved evaluator.
Receiving that Trick Dog Title is stringent, though. Ten “tricks” are required for each level. The Trick Dog Training Log gives you a place to identify those tricks, and track your progress toward achieving each one.
Dogs love the mental stimulation of training, and you love the results. The action of writing down your training notes is a real time-saver for future sessions. You won’t waste time trying to remember where you left off in training a certain behavior or trick. And just the fact of putting pen to paper reinforces your intentions.
